Habits are formed by feedback loops.

Behaviour is a function of personality and environment.

The clothes you wear (your suit of armour).

The people you hang around with (your tribe).

The buildings you enter (your churches, real or imagined).

All determine your behaviour. Behaviour determines outcomes.

We become what we repeatedly enjoy doing.

If it is change you seek, I think a great first option is to consciously design your environment.

“Six packs are made in the gym, but revealed in the kitchen.”

Our brains have evolved to seek pleasure for the minimum effort, optimise your environment to that effect.

If you want to lose weight, don’t surround yourself with calorie dense, hyperpalatable ultra-processed foods.

If you want to spend time creating, remove the consumption devices from your life. (Looking at you facebook).

Set up small triggers with small commitments.

If you want to dance put on your dancing shoes.
